Advait Apartment
A sea-facing apartment reduced to three rooms and one screen, specified for salt air rather than for photographs.
Every metal within four metres of the balcony was changed to brass or 316 stainless. Salt takes mild steel in two monsoons.
The living and dining were joined and separated again with a teak slatted screen, 32 sections, 40mm on a 60mm pitch.
Walls are lime plaster because it can be patched. A painted wall on this elevation would need repainting every third year.
